Who we are looking for

We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated PR & Events Communication Manager 80-100% (all genders) to join our Product & Marketing team based in Switzerland and Germany. As the company’s press spokesperson, you will serve as the primary point of contact for all media enquiries and will be responsible for spearheading the development and execution of comprehensive public relations strategies, with a primary focus on B2B relations. As such, your role will also include cultivating strong industry relationships, as well as planning and promoting B2B events to elevate brand awareness and FAIRTIQ’s public image. 

Role & Duties

  • Craft and execute international public relations strategies with a primary focus on B2B relations to increase brand awareness and support lead generation along the B2B funnel in all relevant markets.
  • Collaborate closely with freelancer and internal teams, particularly Marketing and Sales & Business Development, to create convincing press stories around company achievements, events, industry topics and more to enhance FAIRTIQ's reputation and position as a thought leader in the industry.
  • Serve as the company's press spokesperson, acting as the primary contact for all media inquiries and cultivating strong industry and media relationships in all relevant markets to grow media coverage and manage FAIRTIQ's public image effectively.
  • Refine and execute proactive crisis communication plans to advise and support the management in strategic communications and effectively manage and mitigate reputational risks during challenging situations.
  • Plan and promote B2B events, providing essential support in aligning them strategically with PR objectives to elevate brand awareness and foster industry relationships.
  • Conduct media research to analyse public opinion and continuously monitor the effectiveness of PR campaigns. 

Skills & Personality

  • Media Relations Expertise: Proven track record in building and nurturing relationships with media outlets and journalists, coupled with the ability to effectively pitch stories and secure positive coverage to enhance the company's reputation. Several years of experience in a similar international PR & Events communication position and / or experience in a PR agency is a plus. 
  • Strong communication skills: Ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing, while maintaining professionalism and persuasiveness in interactions with media, stakeholders, and internal teams. Must be native in German and fluent in English - French and Italian, as well as any other language is a plus.
  • Strategic Thinking: Capacity to develop and execute comprehensive PR strategies aligned with business objectives, utilizing analytical skills to identify opportunities, anticipate challenges, and adapt tactics accordingly.
  • Event Planning and Management: Proficiency in planning, coordinating, and especially promoting B2B events, including conferences, trade shows, webinars and networking functions, with an eye for detail and a focus on maximizing engagement and impact.
  • Crisis Management Skills: Demonstrated ability to remain calm and composed under pressure, coupled with the capacity to develop and implement effective crisis communication plans to mitigate reputational risks and maintain stakeholder trust during challenging situations.
  • Motivation: Driven, outgoing and proactive personality with a passion for sustainable mobility who enjoys working with many different people. Must also be willing and capable to travel and attend in-person events occasionally.

We are only accepting candidates who are based in Germany or Switzerland for this position and do not require a visa/permit to work in these countries.
